I love keeping Wild Planet Skipjack Tuna on hand to whip these tuna cakes up anytime on short notice! The tuna is mixed with a flavorful spice blend, including garlic powder, chili powder and fresh red onion. They are coated in Panko and air-fried to crispy perfection. Paired with a Sriracha and mayonnaise dipping sauce, these tuna cakes are delicious and come together quickly.

Paired with a Sriracha and mayonnaise dipping sauce, these tuna cakes are delicious and come together quickly.

Ingredients

    Tuna Cakes

  • 2 (5oz) cans Wild Planet Skipjack Wild Tuna

  • 2 Tbsp red onion

  • ½ tsp Chili powder

  • ¼ tsp Garlic powder

  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise

  • 1 Egg

  • ¼ to ½ cup Panko, plus more for dredging

  • Sriracha Mayo

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise

  • 2-4 Tbsp Sriracha

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the air fryer cakes and fold until homogenous.

  2. In another bowl, stir together all the ingredients for the sriracha mayo, set aside.

  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390F.

  4. Use a ¼ cup to ⅓ cup measuring cup to scoop and shape the cakes and place cakes in an even layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 3-4 minutes.

  5. Flip and cook on the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.

  6. Serve with sriracha mayo and if you’d like, add some lime wedges.
