Directions

  1. To begin, pour a little bit of the olive oil from the sardine can into a pan. Once the olive oil is warm, toast the two slices of bread until golden brown & crispy on both sides.

Toast #1

  1. Spread tartar sauce over the toast, and top with sardines. Drizzle a little more of the olive oil from the sardine can, then add salt & pepper to taste.

  2. Pile on the rest of the ingredients (as much as you’d like!): arugula, pickled red onions, crumbled feta cheese and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Enjoy!

Toast #2

  1. Put ghee or butter in a pan and add an egg on low heat.

  2. While egg cooks, spread toast with ricotta cheese. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on the ricotta cheese, then add your sardines.

  3. Pile on the rest of the ingredients (as much as you’d like!): fresh slices of tomato and chopped parsley.

  4. Once your egg is cooked to sunny side up (or however you prefer your egg to be cooked) add to the top of the toast and enjoy.
